LOVE IS THE ONLY ANSWER
In the wake of the recent incidents, it is so compelling to want to fill up with rage. This is human. Anyone who deeply cares about humanity would indeed loathe the imposed suffering upon anyone or any being for any reason. That said, at the end of the day, the climb up from a place of feeling hate or fear of even from feeling powerless and inadequate requires a determined reach for LOVE, and restraint over the urge to reach for fury. All beings who have been subjected to the tyranny of others have felt these things. Yet, among those beings who did survive and thrive beyond their tyranny have been expressions of an almost inexplicable capacity for love.
Hate and fear feed on itself! We must resist the urge to feed it!!! Such was the case with this young man. This ability to hold fast to LOVE in the face of such tyranny is our greatest challenge! To those who say, why reach for LOVE in the face of such cruelty? The answer is – to fall into our own capacity for hate and fear is often precisely what creates a tyrant. If we all become tyrants we are just locked into perpetual self-imposed tyranny! Haven’t we seen that movie throughout our history? We have got to stop ourselves. And here to help us along are the voices of people such as this young man!
