Be an Ambassador for Peace and Justice

It is easy to speak the words of peace. It is more difficult at times to act the actions of peace. Peace, one could say is a practice, a discipline. Peace is a challenging concept to the ego,and it is a powerful concept to be lived. Justice is also a difficult concept for the human ego. (certainly for my ego) The first thing that comes to mind with the word justice, is “who’s justice?” Your justice, my justice, animal justice, planetary justice….. . Justice for the purpose of this discussion is based on the webster’s definition which points to equality, honesty, fairness, righteousness with equanimity. Throughout time man has created credos and followed guidelines for his/her behavior. Throughout time we have evolved along spiritual lines and developed our internal compass for knowing what is harmful, life damaging and what is life enhancing. This compass I believe is seated in our spiritual heart. Our mind can easily grasp these concepts when our mind is being informed by our spiritual heart. The spiritual heart is known when we are blessed to experience the nature of compassion, empathy, and Love. With this blessing we can truly know the incredible beauty in this world we inhabit and share!. We shall also bear a responsibility to be the stewards of this blessed place. From this viewpoint, we are each stewards of this planet and of the creation of just social economic systems within which all sentient beings are included. The word justice here is to imply that these systems would upon implementation be guided always toward meeting the criteria of peace with an eye towards fairness to all mankind and animal kind.

To be a steward, to be an ambassador for peace and justice will mean that you commit to act kindly, respectfully, honestly, and fairly in your own home, in the place you work, where you gather with others for education or for social pleasure. You have agreed to make the effort to see the other in your path, to hear the other and learn from them. Being an ambassador for Peace and Justice is not about diminishing another or assaulting another with ones own sense of righteousness. As an Ambassador for Peace and Justice you are committed to demonstrating the qualities and principles you so wish to see in the world.

  1. I want to be an ambassador for peace, love and justice in the world.

There is beauty in cultural and ethnic diversity in all corners of the world.
Our personal opinions, religious backgrounds and experiences may be different. But, that does not make any one person better than or worse than; more worthy or less worthy of being loved and appreciated. Any random act of kindness, however minuscule, is never wasted…I love everyone.
